A Lotus sutra

The day after my birthday I did the usual things, shower, dress , and have breakfast and then prepare to walk to the train station. It was the second month of Spring , and the morning was fresh with the perfumes of flowers. Going up the hill I stopped. I looked across to the houses on the other side of the street. There was nothing particularly beautiful about my town. It was a tough working class town with the wonderful name of Sunshine. I stood there looking at the houses and time had stopped. Colours were a million times more vivid. Sounds were coming from inside of me I had no separation . The sky and earth , light, sound, smells were being activated from within. As I stood there I felt water rushing through my body through to the soles of my feet. It was like I had a flower growing from within. The emotion that came with it was love , pure and unconditioned. That morning I died and was reborn at the same time. Then I moved on. There was no magic mushroom, LSD trip, alcoholic vision , it just came and went . That was the beginning. The end I haven’t reached yet like the poet William Blake said, ” the crooked roads are the Ways of genius.”
